在奥斯卡官网上公布了奥斯卡最佳长篇动画的初选名单，一共有27部作品，在国内票房出众的「西游记之大圣归来」也在其中。此外还有我们熟悉动画电影「愤怒的小鸟」「冰川时代4」「功夫熊猫3」、「疯狂动物城」而日本这边CG电影「最终幻想:国王之刃」、「百日红」和新海诚今年票房成绩势如破竹的「你的名字。」都在这个名单上，27部作品不过之后还会筛选，最后入围的作品会在4-5部之间。
